1. Mediavine is accepting websites with under 50k monthly sessions
If you didn’t know, Mediavine is one of the best ad networks for web content creators. It pays market-leading rates, offers excellent user experience and has a good reputation for working with some of the biggest websites (hello Buzzfeed).
Previously, Mediavine has always had a high pageview criteria, which has meant that smaller websites have been unable to monetize through the ad network. The platform only accepted websites with over 50,000 monthly page sessions which takes most websites years to accumulate.
However, the network has recently introduced Journey - a new branch of Mediavine that is open to websites with as little as 10,000 sessions per month. The company has introduced the new platform to help smaller creators grow their businesses.
What does this mean for online business owners?
The new Mediavine requirements are very exciting for online business owners because it makes it much easier to start monetizing your content through a reputable ad network.
The platform has not yet announced the rate per 1000 views for Journey memebers however, regular Mediavine sites recieve $45 - $65 per 1000 views. If the rates for the new platform are similar, website owners could recieve $450 - $650 per month for 10,000 views.
2. YouTube has launched its own affiliate marketing program
If you hadn’t already heard, YouTube has launched its own affiliate marketing program called ‘YouTube Shopping’. The program was actually launched in 2023 but has been making headlines recently, which bought it to my attention!
The affiliate marketing program is a great opportunity for content creators who are looking for a new way to monetize their online content. YouTube is a BIG platform with tons of opportunity for new creators to build and audience and start earning money.
If you are looking for a way to start making money on social media in 2024, this could be the answer!
I persoanlly think that the new program could be amazing for blogfers! You can make affiliate video content that is related to your posts and link the videos in your articles. You will then be able to earn money ever time that a visitor watches the video and makes a purchase.
Not only is this a great way to increase your monetization but, adding videos to blog content is a great way to established EEAT and create in-depth content.
3. TikTok Creator Rewards is out of Beta!
on March the 18th, TikTok announced the launch of its Creator Rewards Program. The program has been running in beta mode for several months and is now fully functioning.
What is Creator Rewards?
The Creator Rewards program is a program that rewards creators directly for creating engaging and high-quality content on the TikTok platform.
This means that creators can earn money from their videos without the need to use affiliate links or land brand partnerships.
To be eligible to recieve Creator Rewards you must be over the age of 18, have at least 10k followers, have recieved over 100k views and have an account that is more than 30 days old.
The program rewards content that is more than 1 minute long, which has encouraged more creators to create longer videos on the app.
When you sign up to the programe, ads will appear on your content. You then recieve rewards based on the ad watch time.
The Creator Rewards program has been in Beta mode for some time. However, the recent launch means that the program will now be available to more people which is great news for talented TikTok creators!
4. Make money by building AI solutions

This could be a great small business idea or side hustle for software developers or anyone who knows a bit about developing AI products!

Now could be a great time to start this money-making idea, while the market is still relatively new. I personally think that this is a really good opportunity that could be very lucrative in the future.
5. AI training opportunities
Another money maker that has emerged thanks to AI is AI training. This is a remote side hustle that involves helping companies to teach AI models how to perform tasks.
I have seen a lot of these opportunities pop up on LinkedIn and online job boards. These jobs are usually flexible, freelance roles that are suitable for people with good writing or editing skills.
Most of the openings that I have seen pay per hour and rates range between $15 and $25 per hour, depending on your skills and the company that you work for.
This side hustle could be perfect for anyone who is looking to make a little extra cash on the side or start an online job that they can do while traveling.

6. Testerup - The latest trend in paid game testing
As a content creator, I spend a LOT of time on Google Trends. I couldn’t help but notice a significant increase in searches for Testerup, so I decided to see what it was all about!
Testerup is a new online money making platform that pays users for completing small online tasks. This concept is nothing new but Testerup seems to offer a much more user-friendly experience than other micro-tasking sites that I have tried!
The platform pays users to test mobile games such as Coin Master and Solitaire Smash. To receive payment, you have to reach certain levels and unlock achievements within the games.
I signed up to the platform myself and some of the rewards that are offered seem fairly lucrative. However, from my experience, it is likely that you will have to spend quite a bit of time on each game to receive the promised rewards.
Nevertheless, this could be a great way to make some extra money if you enjoy playing games on your phone.
When I started my online business, I found platforms like this REALLY useful for those unexpected expenses and payments.
